Chef21 has been a genuine research tool for me over the last couple of years, I currently own & operate 3 restaurants in Australia.Having the ability to reach out to hundreds of dedicated professional chefs in all four corners of the globe, have received countless emails regarding management advise, systems & HR tips as well as some great produce pointers.
After Chef21 upgraded their website to include a job board I have received countless CV's for positions for which I have posted, all of which were from like minded professional chefs searching for a quality jobs within quality establishments.
Thank you Matthew for your tireless efforts with Chef21 it is a true credit to you.

I am always astounded at the work you guys put into Chef21. We all know as Chefs how much free time we don’t have. At the present, my work location doesn’t enable me to have much contact with other Chefs through Chef’s Associations and other social functions, so it’s nice to have a common site where we can go to ask questions and bounce ideas off of each other. I enjoy reading the testimonials, checking out the different subjects and looking at the recipes.
I’m also curious to hear what other Chefs are doing as far as food trends, menu development, opening procedures, staffing concerns and management systems. This web site is a valuable tool for us to communicate, grow, share and become better at what we do. I thank all who have put this together and give up there free time for the common good of the industry.
Culinary Regards,
Mark Webb

Expat Chefs at Large * This is an e-book for chefs looking to work overseas. It takes a look at the changes one goes through "becoming an expat". First of all, why move overseas and live an uncomfortable and undignified life as an expat anyway? Due to the wide variety of people working as "expats", it's very hard to label and identify the "expat experience" - it varies greatly, but there are a variety of constants that tend to come up as topics of conversation or interest in regards to "expat life". by

To all the non-networkers or future networkers out there, Chef21.com has been a good networking and information tool that I have used a lot in the past 2 years. Chef Matthew keeps the information flowing (don't know how he has the energy to) and things get more interesting as the site and network grows. Nowadays, even before the recession, networking is everything. Being a part of a growing network such as Chef21 is a priceless tool that can be used in many ways to educate, "hook up,” find info out, and learn from all open professionals who are interested in sharing and helping all to grow and make a better profession for all of us. In one lifetime, we will never know everything so it is better to learn as a team. Chef21 can help all succeed in this important task.

Kudos to Matthew for bringing us Chef21 blog. Your content and graphics are refreshing, informative and inspiring. The blog format has risen to the top of other culinary sites on many levels. First, your product is visually sophisticated, next, it is user friendly. After just a glance at each daily blog, I can skim through front page thumbnail topics and quickly zero in on those of interest to me. Your product reflects excellence on several levels, professionally and personally. Professionally because I make it my business to know industry leaders, and have found Chef21 an invaluable research tool. Personally, because your content is 'real' rather than fluff. I look forward to more.

Having recently left the hospitality industry to start my own business after over 20 years in hospitality, I find your Chef21 blog/network an indispensable tool to keep me informed of the happenings of the industry. The rapid rise and presence your network has taken to be considered a major player and communication tool for hospitality professionals has been quite incredible to say the least. Your network has quickly cemented itself (through a lot of hard work I'm sure) as "The" industry website to keep us informed. I, like many others, I'm sure, log in daily to check what's new. The web certainly makes the world feel much smaller and sites such as yours are fantastic tools to educate/inform many of us on what the trends/styles are like all around the world and can be so beneficial in our professional lives. In addition to this the weekly updates always have something of interest and I find myself often forwarding on bits of info/stories that would interest some of my industry colleagues. After 20 years in a professional kitchen and now several out of the kitchen it is refreshing to see that there is still so much to learn out there and the Chef21 network helps us keep up with it all. Thanks to you and the team for all your efforts and keep up the great work!
